BIKE HIRE REQUEST

Our bikes must be booked as soon the room reservation is confirmed and, at the very latest, 2 months before the arrival date. Please fill in our online bike rental request form and we will contact you via e-mail to confirm your bike rental.
 
 1. Guests responsibility: 

The guest is held responsible for the bike for the entire hire period and must only use the bike that he/she has been assigned. If there is need to change it a member of the reception and also the Technical Bike Assistant must be informed first. The guest is asked to take upmost care of the bike and to return it in the same condition it was received, washed and fitted, together with the accessories. Any technical issues or problems regarding the bicycle must immediately be highlighted. It is also the guest’s responsibility to keep the bike washed and clean during the hire period, particularly after a tour in the rain. 
 
2. Bike Set up & Maintenance: 

Your own pedals and saddle must exclusively mounted by the hotel’s Technical Assistant. Under no circumstances is a guest allowed to carry out maintenance work of any kind and/or allowed to undertake any modifications to the hired bike. 
 
3. Theft and damages: 

The hotel will not be held responsible for theft of the bike or any damage caused to it during the hiring period. Any damage caused to the bicycle or punctures during the hire period are at the guest’s expense and will be charged to the credit card used when booking the holiday unless other arrangements have been made. Should any of the bicycle accessories be lost during the hire period, they will be charged at the client’s expense. 
 
4. Insurance: 

a) The bike is only insured against theft in the secured bike deposit room in the Belvedere Bike Hotel. 
b) Insurance does not cover injuries occuring to the person using the bicycle (accident). Additional insurance for damages/accidents can be purchased for a cost of 
 
SUPERIOR: 65.00 euro payable on your first hire day in cash or by credit card. 
The first 500.00 euro of all insurance claims would need to be covered by yourself. 
TOP: 70.00 euro payable on your first hire day in cash or by credit card. 
The first 700.00 euro of all insurance claims would need to be covered by yourself. 
SUPER TOP: 100.00 euro payable on your first hire day in cash or by credit card. 
THE IDOL: 150.00 euro payable on your first hire day in cash or by credit card.
The first 1.500.00 euro of all insurance claims would need to be covered by yourself.

5. Accessories & Deposit: 

For the bike itself and the pump, the saddle bag with tube and the tire lever and the bike computer we will ask a deposit of 50.00 euro in CASH, which has to be paid at the reception. Once you return the cleaned bike and the previous mentioned accessories, you will get your deposit back. 
 
6. Bike recovery in case of accident/breakage: 

In the case of an accident or a damaged bike the recovery of the bike and the cyclist is free of charge in the following cases: 
- If you are on one of our guided tours. 
- If the damage is due to a structural or mechanical defect of the bike. 
 
Recovery is to be covered by yourself in the following cases: 
- If you are not on one of our guided tours. 
- If the damage is not due to a structural or mechanical problem. 
- If the need to be picked up by our driver is not due to the bike but rather to the cyclist (tiredness, rain, losing the way - in these cases we are likely to send a taxi for pick-up). 
 
7. Bikes are at our guests’ disposal from 8.30 on the first day of the reservation until 8pm of the day BEFORE departure! Daily rentals are from 8:30am – 8:30pm
