De Rosa Special Event

A great success

Thank you Cristiano De Rosa for having given us an evening of great emotions:
The history of the De Rosa Company, from their first ever bike in steel, that was handmade by Ugo De Rosa in 1957, to today’s carbon SK Pininfarina Luxury, moving through alluminum and titanium along the way. Pure class!

Ugo De Rosa made the first bike in steel in 1957 and today’s New Classic represents timeless elegance, typical of the De Rosa company.

From here we moved on to titanium which was represented by the bike TITANIO: this bike arrived first at the 1994 Giro d'Italia ridden by Evgenij Berzin, and beat Marco Pantani who arrived second that year.
Another important step in the De Rosa production line is alluminium, famous for its lightness. The historical bike is the Merak which takes its name from the brightest star and won the world Championship in 2000. Today, the new bike SCANDIUM in volcano red: Just like at the end the 90s, De Rosa changed look and experimented with the alluminium frame, but with familiar style criteria, today the lightness of the Scandium, in every occasion, surprises and reminds us that to venture means to win, over doubts and the norm.
Finally, the bike that represented the 50th anniversary of the company, the "CINGUANTA", the first bike with carbon frame. De Rosa was the first to use this material, that had used only in military companies until then, and decided, thanks to the research of all other materials, to welcome in a new era, that of CARBON. Today, this study has been transformed into its latest creation SK PININFARINA in the LUXURY version, queen of style, sophistication and design.
